It's been a boring past few weeks compared to what we did so far. We've been doing driver practice, tweaking a couple thinks, more practice, fixing more problems, and so on. It's a never-ending cycle of the engineering process. Design, build, test, redesign, build, test, redesign again, test. There is never a perfect robot, and I think the whole team has had a better appreciation of how well the robot worked in the first place.
We got to see the performance of the robot first-hand with the scrimmage matches we played and the first four meets of our league competition. Just as some background, we played our scrimmage matches and the first four league meets virtually (this means we only used half the field and we didn't have any other robots on the field or an alliance partner). Each of the league meets plays a total of six matches, and of those match scores, the top 10 scores count towards our average and ranking.

With our scores, we placed fourth in our league following three of some of the best teams in the state of Texas. Granted, many of the very good teams in our league were unable to compete this season, so the competition wasn't nearly as intense as it may have been if this had been a normal season. However, the team is very proud of their accomplishments being a rookie team and placing so well. We are hopeful that our League Tournament in a few weeks (this will be the first in-person competition that any of the team members have been to) will go just as well!
